Why should I choose you to be my Chiropractor?
I continue to stay up on current literature and feel with my medical background I am well suited to deal with any situation or injury that walks in the door.

Do you bill health insurance?
Yes. We accept all insurances except Medicare.

What is covered by my insurance?
Not all insurances have Chiropractic Coverage. Call 503-235-7130 and we will call on your insurance to verify benefits prior to arriving in the office.

How many treatments will it take to fix me?
This is completely dependent upon the injury you have. Patients have been better in as few as 3-4 treatments and as many as 75. The only way to get an idea is to do a full history and examination.

How many times a week do I need treatment?
Again, this is dependent upon the injury and how well people follow home care instruction. Sometimes once a month is enough sometimes 3-4 times a week is needed.

Do you give me any home exercises and stretches?
I always give home care. Without it, treatment is incomplete as far as I am concerned.

What are your cash prices?
Typically the first office visit (full history, exam, and first treatment- no x-rays) is around $75 and office visits after the initial are usually around $35.

What techniques do you use?
Mainly Diversified. I use an Impulse adjuster for people that prefer an non-force technique or have advanced osteoporosis.

How long is a typical treatment?
The first office visit and treatment is usually 45-60 minutes. Treatment thereafter is usually less than 30 minutes.

I have never been to a Chiropractor. Can you explain how you deal with someone that has some anxiety about chiropractic?
First off, I ease into manipulation. I will not adjust you if you are not relaxed. I have extensive experience with people that are new to chiropractic and have great success with them. The key is to start slow and work your way into a deeper treatment at later dates, as you become more relaxed about the treatments

I don’t have Health Insurance. Can I still be treated for an Auto injury?
Absolutely, As long as you or the driver of the car you were in had auto insurance at the time of the collision your care will be paid by the auto insurance.

What if the accident was my fault- can I still get treatment for my injury?
Absolutely. As long as you had auto insurance at the time of the collision it doesn’t matter if it was your fault or not. Your treatment will be covered.

I wasn’t the driver. And I don’t have health or car insurance-can I still see you?
Yes. As long as the driver had insurance at the time of the accident you are covered under that policy.

Do I need a doctors referral to see you?
No, You don’t need a referral from anyone, just give us a call 503-235-7130

What does the first office visit include?
A full history, examination, treatment and explanation of your injury. Usually lasting about an hour. We will go over any x-ray results at a later date.

Are you going to take x-rays?
Possibly. This is on a case by case basis but most recent car accident victims do get some x-rays.

How can Chiropractic Help?
Chiropractic can help in many ways. The main way is to get the body moving properly. Manipulation enables the joints and muscles to move in the correct manner. Overtime untreated muscle spasms or contracture can lead to osteoarthritis and degenerative changes in the spine which is irreversible.

Can I get massage for my injury?
Yes. I can prescribe massage and have a massage therapist on site. Auto insurances do cover it as long as it is prescribed.

The other company wants me to settle the case- Should I?
That is ultimately your choice. But if you have an injury and you settle. Any treatment you need in the future as a result of the auto injury will not be covered by the auto insurance and you will have to pay out of your own pocket.

Why are you any different than my regular chiropractor and why should I make an appointment with you?
If you have a doctor you prefer by all means go to them. There are a lot of good doctors out there. But what I bring to the table is years of Medical and hospital experience with car accident victims, acute care, emergency care, surgical experience. I have seen it all. I also am one of only 7 doctors in all of Oregon that has completed advanced training in auto injuries. You can see how much extra training I have been through simply click on this link (www.srisd.com) then click on consumer website tab and look me up under Physician Graduates.
