Memorial Day weekend will soon be upon us and with it Summer!  We are all happy to see the warmer temperatures and sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest.  The nice weather brings with it some dangers that differ from those in the wetter times of year.  Two of the most common problems with summer weather are sunburn and dehydration.  Many of us are too quick to absorb as much sun as possible without the proper protection- that being sunscreen and/or clothing.  Use plenty of sunscreen and don’t forget to reapply.  If you do not have sunscreen, cover your skin or stay in the shade intermittently.  The sun and warmer temperatures will also cause people to become dehydrated.  Thus, be sure to drink plenty of water during the warmer days and especially when doing activities that make you sweat.  A little bit of prevention can keep some major problems from happening!
