Today I wanna walk you through the first appointment that people have when they come in for treatment here at Marcum Chiropractic.
First off, I ask a lot of questions about your injury; how it happened, your daily activities, and your lifestyle to see how the injuries are affecting your life now and into the future.
Secondly, I perform a physical exam and explain your treatment plan, and then perform a treatment on you on that very first day. Okay. Depending on the specifics of your injuries and your history, we may need to get some imaging, such as X-rays or an MRI, but not always. Unlike going to the medical doctor, you won’t have to sit on a piece of paper in your underwear, or even worse, wear one of those open back gowns.
There’s a lot to cover on the first visit, so it usually lasts about an hour, sometimes longer. We never want to rush anything. If you are injured, please come in for the care you need as soon as possible. We’re here for you, Portland. We’ll see you soon.
