Now that the snow gods have blessed us with plenty of white gold the mountains are ready to be tamed.  In order to prevent the mountains from taming you while you ski or snowboard, take a few precautions.  Before sliding down the hill, be sure to take a few moments to do some light stretching.  The forces on your core and lower extremity muscles are very strong while snow riding, so limbering up beforehand can prevent many types of muscle strains.  Also, please be sure to wear a helmet.  Your head can hit numerous things that are much harder than it (ice, rocks, trees, skis, etc.) during a fall, so wearing a helmet can save your life.  Have fun out there!
