The unofficial end of summer is here. That means a large chunk of our population will be returning to school. A simple tip regarding backpack usage: make sure your child’s backpack weighs no more than 10% of your child’s bodyweight. This will allow him/her to use it without placing too much strain on their shoulders, neck and back. Also, be certain that BOTH shoulder straps are used to evenly distribute the weight of the pack.
