When traveling via plane with flights longer than two hours be sure to do the following: 1) get adjusted the day before your flight and when you return, 2) stretch your legs, back and neck prior to getting on board, 3) get up and walk to the back of the plane once every 1.5 hours, and 4) do the exercises recommended in the in-flight magazine (i.e., leg bends, foot circles, etc.). All of the above will lessen leg/back pain, leg and foot swelling and the likelihood of having any type of cardiovascular problem while on the plane. To get adjusted or learn more about specific things you can do to help yourself while traveling call Marcum Chiropractic at 503-235-7130 and schedule an appointment with Dr. Hartwig.
