Posture is a habit. It can be good, it can be bad. The choice is yours. The most important aspect of poor posture is being aware of it. Here’s an easy tip to follow: set an alarm on your phone to go off at least three times per day to remind you to assess how you are standing/sitting. You will (likely) catch yourself slouching a bit and then be able to stand/sit up straighter. The more frequently you do this, the stronger your muscles become making your poor posture a thing of the past. For an in-depth postural analysis and specific postural exercises, please schedule an appointment with Dr. Hartwig; call us at 503-235-7130.
